Chicago!

Took a little trip to Chicago for the weekend. Here's a photo of Monica and I after getting stuck in a huge thunderstorm and eating at a diner full of transvestites on friday night. p.s. you can't see my shirt but the transvestites told me it was very cute.
Saturday night, Brendan:
Two tired girls (Anne and I) :
Two pretending to be tired girls:
Monica and I thought we should take a quick detour and stop at the beach on the way home. The beach looked pretty from here:
The giant metal tubes were a little strange:
But of course that didn't stop me from going in the water:
...and then I started to get second thoughts about being in the water and being on that beach at all: (if you can't see clearly, you can click on the picture and it gets bigger. click again and it gets even bigger)
Maybe we realized we were at a nuclear plant when we were walking back to the car and saw this sign, or perhaps it was the security guard with a giant gun/rifle who came to see what we were doing. All in all a good trip, saw old friends, ate good food, had mostly good weather
..... at least I'm trying to forget about the dozens of traffic jams, closed highways, getting stranded in the pouring rain, wasting my money on cabs, bitchy girls, getting pulled over by the police... more good than bad though.
